FALL/WINTER/SPRING PROGRAMS

We have a number of programs during the "school year"that depend on volunteers including weekend camps, youth groups, the Clinic Support Program and our in city Special Friend Matching Program.

Weekend Camps:

These are held at our Rainbow Lake site and are shorter versions of our summer programs. Volunteers arrive at 5:30pm on Friday for some training and orientation before the campers arrive at 8pm that evening. Camp wraps up around 2pm on Sunday. We run family weekends in the Spring & Fall and Residential (children age 8-15) weekends in January. Upcoming Dates.

Youth Groups:

Youth groups meet once a month on a Sunday afternoon. Volunteers sign up on a month to month basis to help supervise and play with the campers. Youth groups meet in the following cities: Ottawa, Kingston, Toronto, Barrie, Hamilton, London, Kitchener and Windsor.outh Groups: Youth groups meet once a month on a Sunday afternoon. Clinic Support Program:

We place volunteers in children´s oncology clinics in London, Hamilton and Ottawa to play with children while they are waiting for their treatment. Volunteers sign up for a school semester and commit to coming on morning a week. Because of the independent nature of this program we generally require volunteers to have some "Trillium experience" with our youth groups or camp programs before participating in the Clinic Support Program.
