Year-Round Volunteer Opportunities

Do you want to get involved, but the summertime just doesn’t work? Check out Camp Trillium’s year-round programs:

Family Weekends
Family weekends happen in the spring and fall and provide the opportunity for families to head out to camp for a fun-filled weekend during their busy year. Staff and volunteers arrive on Friday to assist in preparation. Volunteers are matched up with families as Special Friends and help to coordinate activities throughout the weekend.

Winter Camp
Each weekend in January campers (8-16 years old), staff, and volunteers come together to have some winter fun. Volunteers stay in cabins with a small group of campers and become group leaders for the weekend. Activities include all the regular fun stuff plus snowshoeing, skiing, baking, board games, and more.

Youth Groups
Campers, staff, and volunteers come together once a month in their communities for Youth Groups--a great way to have some fun and to keep in touch. Youth Group activities are recreational, and may include watching a movie or spending an afternoon at the bowling alley.

Special Friend Matches
This program matches up patients and their siblings with Camp Trillium volunteers in their communities on a one-to-one basis. The main goal of this program is to foster supportive relationships while enjoying recreational activities.

Clinic Support Program
The Clinic Support Program places Camp Trillium volunteers in the treatment clinics. The role of these volunteers is to engage the children in recreational activities. Volunteers are consistent every week, which helps them to build and maintain relationships with the children and their parents.

Camp Nights
Camp Trillium volunteers offer a recreational camp evening for children while parents meet with their monthly support group.
