How to ApplyPlease fill out the volunteer application form and send it to Camp Trillium, or apply right here online! We will also need your resume and three names and telephone numbers of references. Interview & Training Once you have applied to become a volunteer with Camp Trillium, you may be invited to a group interview session (with approx. 15 people) in the city-centre nearest you (Hamilton, Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, London, or Sudbury). The interviews are 4-5 hours in length and include an information session, group games, role plays, followed by a one-on-one interview. If you are accepted as a volunteer, you will be invited to a one-day in-city training session that will cover topics such as camp programming, medical and psychosocial aspects of childhood cancer and safety. Volunteers are also required to arrive at camp one day prior to the start of the session for on-site orientation. Ongoing training opportunities are available for community volunteers. Police Clearance and TB Test All volunteers are required to have a police clearance prior to volunteering. Camp Trillium can process the clearance for you, free of charge (you must show your driver’s licence or other proof of identification). We also require that you have a tuberculosis (TB) test done through your family doctor or a walk-in clinic. We Need You!
