FALL/WINTER/SPRING PROGRAMS

Family weekends happen each Spring (April/May) and Fall (October/November) at Rainbow Lake. The weekends a shorter version of our summer family camp sessions and provide families with more options to enjoy all the benefits that family camp has to offer. The summer activities, such as swimming are replaced with more seasonally appropriate activities that our very creative staff plan for the families to enjoy. The weekends are an excellent way to enjoy more of what camp has to offer or to see what camp is all about for the very first time! Special Friend(s) are assigned to each family to help maximize the weekend experience and is based on the need and number of children.

Some quick facts about family weekends

• Families need to arrange their own transportation to and from Rainbow lake
• Fall registrations are due beginning of September and Spring registrations are due in March
• Space is limited. Generally the weekends are smaller than a full summer session.

Winter camps are filled with all the fun and friendships of our summer residential camps, but are only a weekend long and campers have the opportunity to try great outdoor winter activities if they choose. Some of the activities are: snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hay rides and lots of hot chocolate. At winter camp the campers get a choice of an indoor and outdoor activity each hour. Just like in the summer campers are divided into age groups and get a chance to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. There are 3 weekends to choose from that again offer transportation from different city centres each weekend (London/Windsor, Hamilton/Toronto or Ottawa/Kingston). Two of the weekends are held at Rainbow Lake and the third is held at Circle Square Ranch, on offsite camp that is OCA accredited. The winter camps are great for returning campers or campers who are new to residential camping or Trillium. Registration takes place in November.
