- an 11-day overnight program offered at Garratts Island and
Rainbow Lake. Provides a special place for youth to explore nature
and learn about themselves in natural settings.
- activities include sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming,
fishing, target sports, arts and crafts, drama, adventure program,
project wilderness, campfires, and more.
- campers 14-15 will take part in the Leadership-in-Training
program at camp. This program combines fun and recreation with leadership
skills.
- sessions are regionalized according to treatment centres; therefore,
campers from the same clinic can attend at the same time
- medical support, provided by the nursing director and a team of
nurses (that includes a pediatric oncology nurse), is on duty at all
times, including outtrips. Medical backup is available at local hospitals,
15 minutes from all sites. The Kingston clinic is one hour east of
Garratts Island. The McMaster and London clinics are a one-hour
drive from Rainbow Lake.
- bus transportation to and from camp is provided from designated
locations.
