Family Camp
Ages: newborns, kids to age 16, and parents
Length: 6 days, 5 nights- Garratt's Island
5 Days, 4 nights- Rainbow Lake

- an overnight program at Garratt’s Island and Rainbow
Lake--families may choose any site
- provides an excellent opportunity for families to interact in a
relaxing environment with others who have had similar life experiences
- parents are given the opportunity to rest, have time alone together,
and also to spend time with their children
- designed to encourage new family interests and exposure to
recreational activities
- family members are free to choose the activities in which they
would like to participate
- all regular camp activities listed in the Residential Camp
outline are included
- includes a daycare and preschool program for children under 7 years
of age
- medical support, provided by the nursing director and a team of
nurses (that includes a pediatric oncology nurse), is on duty at all
times, including outtrips. Medical backup is available at local hospitals,
15 minutes from all sites. The Kingston clinic is one hour east of
Garratt’s Island. The McMaster and London clinics are a one-hour
drive from Rainbow Lake.
- nighttime babysitting is provided each evening in the cabins
- families are required to provide their own transportation to and
from camp. Depending on the size of the family, you may share cabin
space. All families share washroom facilities.
