Camp Director: Dan Wolfenden (contact) Camp Trillium Oddfellow & Rebekah Island, on West Lake near Picton, has recently become the permanent home of Camp Trillium. With help from the Oddfellows and Rebekahs of Ontario, Camp Trillium was able to purchase this property, which ensures there will always be a camp for children with cancer and their families in Ontario. The 60 acre property is truly an Island Oasis, with a scenic waterfront and wooded trails throughout. Camp Trillium Oddfellow & Rebekah Island first opened in 1989 and has been the home of Camp Trillium for nearly 20 years. The Island, due to its´ limited access in the winter is used mainly in the summer months to host residential, family and teens camps. In the spring and fall the Island is also the home to Teen weekend programs. Camp Trillium Oddfellow & Rebekah Island has 4 cabins in a bunk house design able to accommodate 30 people in each and come complete with power and full washroom facilities. There are also many smaller outdoor accommodations called, Pods, where staff and teens can become more in touch with their natural surroundings. Camp Trillium Oddfellow & Rebekah Island (formerly Garratt´s Island) has a capacity of 180 people, however, Camp Trillium has camps no larger than 100 campers at a time to ensure an intimate, friendly and family-oriented camping experience. The activities that Camp Trillium Oddfellow & Rebekah Island has to offer are as follows: For each activity we have trained and knowledgeable staff instructors Activities All Camp Trillium programs and facilities follow safety standards, including the accreditation standard of the Ontario Camping Association (OCA) www.ontraiocamps.ca, the guidelines from the Children´s Oncology Camping Association International (COCA-I) www.coca-intl.org and the guidelines from the Canadian Association of Pediatric Oncology Camps (CAPOC).
